Sister to Sister: One in the Spirit, affectionately dubbed “Sister to Sister,” is an empowerment organization for women of color.  Since 2001, we’ve been empowering women & girls of color, encouraging them to nurture their body, mind and spirit.

Some of the extraordinary and influential women who have been a part of Sister to Sister are Hazel N. Dukes, President of the New York State Conference of NAACP Branches; The Honorable C. Virginia Fields, former Borough President of Manhattan; Grace F. Edwards, award-winning author of the Mali Mystery Series; Terrie Williams, Author & Publicity Guru; Dr. Shelia Evans Tranum, Associate Commissioner, NYS Education Department; Lori Stokes, Anchorwoman, WABC-TV and Susan L. Taylor, Editor-In-Chief Emerita of Essence Magazine.
